So I recently discovered this word on Twitter, yes, Twitter and was immediately hooked! Haberdashery, Haberdashery, Haberdashery! You get the picture; I was taken by this word. After wondering why I hadn't discovered this word sooner, my next thought was, how do I use it effectively? So just humor me as I take a stab at it:
Soft, elegant, distinct in style, the haberdasher’s outlet on Ninth Street was the only one with the special pair of discounted Jimmy Choo shoes.
They make a great couple. Complimentary in many ways; they market and sell products like natural born haberdasheries!
Another failed business. But unlike the others, this letdown was too much to bear. With most of our savings invested in Jeffrey’s Men’s Wearhouse, this leap of faith turned out to be a deep dive into poverty. I suppose we needed to learn the hard way; haberdashery was never in the cards for us.
