Even though I may not know how long that season may be, I can take comfort in the fact that it won't last forever. And even in the midst of it, it serves a purpose. The difficulty won't be wasted. I will have it in my arsenal as a tool to offer someone else. That may be in the form of words of wisdom, strategic insight, or a meaningful network that came about as a result of the experience.
Even in seasons of great joy and harvest, this verse is a caution to me to be a good steward of what I am cultivating in a time of abundance, because even that time, will also shift.
Happy First Day of Spring! Regardless of what season you are in, be mindful of the fact that it won't last forever. So recognize the season you are currently in, be it a time of building, tearing down, planting or harvesting, know what time it is, and steward it well.
